Quick Start
- Enter your name and email in the header, then click Log in.
- Open the magic link in the same browser to finish sign-in.
- Create a room, share the room code, and have everyone join.
- Swipe Yes/No. Matches appear when two or more people say yes.
Account And Sign-In
How does sign-in work?
Fusedly uses email magic links. Enter your email and click Log in. You get an email link and finish sign-in by opening it in this browser.
Why should I open the link in the same browser?
Magic-link completion is bound to the browser that requested it. This protects account flow and avoids accidental sign-in from another device/session.
What happens to guest data when I sign in?
If your current guest workspace has rooms and you sign in to an existing account, you get a confirmation step before switching. You can cancel there.
Movie Room Filters
What do the Source options do?
Filter Results uses catalog filters. Manual List uses your added titles. Enabling both combines both sources.
What does Pick Order do?
Popular favors broadly popular titles. For You uses your historical preferences. Random shuffles from the chosen pool.
How does the Year Range picker work?
Click years to set start/end bounds. You can clear and reselect to tighten or broaden the catalog window.
What does Content Rating filter?
It filters by movie maturity ratings in your catalog (for example G, PG, PG-13, R). Selected chips define the allowed set.
What does Original Language filter?
It filters by each movie's original language metadata (for example English). Any removes language filtering.
How do Viewer Rating stars map to TMDB ratings?
Buckets map to TMDB vote averages: 1 star (0.0-2.9), 2 stars (3.0-4.9), 3 stars (5.0-6.9), 4 stars (7.0-8.9), 5 stars (9.0-10.0).
Manual List
How does Add movie search work?
Manual search uses the full movie catalog, not the active filter subset. Pick a result to add it to the manual list.
What does "Vote 'YES' on all Manually Added" do?
When enabled, your account gets an automatic Yes vote for manually added titles when the room is created.
What does Remove all do?
It clears the manual movie list in the room creator UI before room creation.
Rooms And Matching
How are matches created?
A match appears when two or more room members vote Yes on the same item. Match updates are pushed in real time.
Can I re-enter an existing room later?
Yes. Use Room Management to enter rooms you own or joined, and copy the room code for others.
Who can delete a room?
Only the room creator can delete that room from Room Management.
Troubleshooting
I did not receive the magic-link email.
Check spam/promotions, verify address spelling, and retry after a short wait. Local dev may also require valid email service credentials.
Why does my movie count look too low?
Counts reflect all active filters together: source mode, genre, year range, language, content rating, and viewer stars.
Why are manual movies not showing in my swipe queue?
Check Source selection. Manual picks appear when Manual List is enabled (alone or combined with Filter Results).
